Mr. Carlton Lee Byrum age 68, of Colerain, NC died Friday,
January 30, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Mr. Byrum was born May 19, 1946 in Bertie County, NC, the son of the late Lyman Woodrow Byrum and Hilda White Byrum. He was also predeceased by his sister, Linda Joyce Parnell.
He was a retired farmer and security guard for Alfa Security. He was a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his niece, Cathy E. Pierce and her husband Doug and his nephew Andy Eure and his wife Melinda. His great nieces and nephews, Christopher Pierce, Christen Bryant, Joseph Horton, Joseph Eure, Frances McKeel and her husband Josh and Elizabeth Eure. One great-great nephew, Drake McKeel and great great niece Sumer Drake.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor, NC with Rev. Johnny Byrum officiating.
The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC, Monday, February 2, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
